That effect is called preselection. It can help, but only when it comes from a real social life.
What preselection looks like
Picture a man at a bar with three friends. A woman walks over and hugs him. Another woman asks him about a trip. He smiles, gives both women his full attention, then returns to his friends.
He did not tell anyone that women like him. They saw it.
That scene gives the new woman useful facts. He can talk to women without turning stiff or needy. Women seem to enjoy being near him. He has friends and a place in the group.
Those facts can make him seem safer and more wanted.
Preselection does not mean collecting women around you as props. It does not mean flirting with five women while one woman watches. It means your life already includes women who enjoy spending time with you.
A man who has Woman friends, mixed social groups, and a calm way of talking to women often looks more at ease. That ease can make him more attractive.
Why it can work
People often use other people’s behavior as a clue.
If you walk into a restaurant and see a long line at one food stand, you may assume the food is good. You do not know that for sure. You still notice the line.
The same thing can happen in dating. A woman may see another woman smile when you speak. She may notice your Woman friend puts her hand on your shoulder. She may watch you greet women by name.
She gets a quick answer to a quiet question: “Do other women like being around him?”
The answer does not decide everything. Your voice, face, clothes, and behavior still matter. Preselection only adds one piece of information.
It also lowers doubt. If you talk to a woman who has seen you chatting with others, she has more reason to believe you can handle a normal conversation. She does not have to guess whether you will grab onto her for attention.
One of our students saw this after he joined a mixed group that played board games. He stopped treating each woman he met as his only chance. He joked with the whole group, helped set up the game, and spoke with women without staring at them. Women began starting talks with him because his behavior looked relaxed.
His social life changed first. His dating results changed after that.
How men ruin it
The fastest way to kill preselection is to perform for an audience.
A man may stand beside a woman and flirt too hard while checking whether another woman is watching. He may mention all the women who want him. He may post photos with women he barely knows. He may ask a Woman friend to act interested so a new woman feels jealous.
Most women can spot the strain.
Picture a man at a party saying, “Women are always asking for my number.” He then checks his phone every few seconds. His words say one thing. His body shows another.
That does not look wanted. It looks like he wants people to think he is wanted.
Do not use women as decorations. Do not touch a woman more than the moment calls for. Do not make a Woman friend uncomfortable so another woman will notice you.
You also do not need to flirt with every woman in the room. If you give each woman the same wide smile, close stance, and soft voice, the act becomes clear.
Real preselection looks plain. You know people. They know you. You can talk to one woman, then leave to greet a friend without making a show of it.
How to build the real kind
Start by adding more mixed social time to your life.
Join a group where people meet in person. Take a cooking class. Play a team sport. Go to a small music event with friends. Work on a project that brings men and women into the same room.
The goal is not to hunt for dates. The goal is to become a man who has regular contact with women.
When you meet women in these places, treat them like people. Ask about the class. Make a joke about the bad music. Offer help when there is a clear reason. Keep the talk short if she seems busy.
For example, at a cooking class, you could say, “Did you mean to add that much salt?” If she laughs, you can keep talking. If she turns back to her food, let her cook.
Build friendships too. Invite women and men to the same dinner. Remember names. Send a friend a message when you see a book she would like. Show up when you say you will.
A woman who sees you greet several people, listen when they speak, and make room for others gets a better view of your social life. She sees proof in small moments.
Use it without hiding behind it
Preselection can open a door. You still have to speak to the woman you like.
Do not wait for her to watch another woman laugh at your joke. Walk over and say something simple about where you are. “You seem to know everyone here. How do you know the host?”
If she answers with interest, ask one more question. If she gives short answers and looks away, leave with a smile.
Your goal is not to make her jealous. Your goal is to see if the two of you enjoy talking.
A man with a full social life does not need one woman to prove his worth. He can show interest without begging for approval. He can leave without anger when the talk goes nowhere.
That is the part women respond to most. She sees a man who is wanted by the people around him, but who still has the nerve to speak to her directly.
