Yes. Muzz marks every message with ticks. One grey tick means the message was sent but not delivered yet, for example because the other person is offline. Two grey ticks mean it reached their app. Two pink ticks mean she has opened and read it. If the ticks do not seem to update, Muzz suggests refreshing the app. That is all the app tells you, and what you do with it matters more than the ticks themselves.
What each tick means
- One grey tick: sent, not yet delivered. Often she is offline or has no signal.
- Two grey ticks: delivered to her app. She has not necessarily seen it.
- Two pink ticks: opened and read.
The step from grey to pink is the only one that tells you anything about her attention. Two grey ticks are a delivery notice, nothing more. A phone can receive a message and sit in a pocket for a day.
What a pink tick does not tell you
It tells you she saw the message. It does not tell you what she thought, why she has not answered or whether she will.
Women read a message and put off the answer for ordinary reasons. She is at work. She wants to reply properly and needs a quiet ten minutes. She is with family, or she is thinking about how to respond. Muzz is an app many members use for marriage, so some take a slower, more careful pace with a new conversation. A pink tick with no reply is often a woman making up her mind, not a woman ignoring you.
What not to do when a message sits read
Most of the mistakes here come from a man watching the ticks.
Do not send a second message an hour later asking if she saw the first. Do not write "hello?" or "??". Do not send a string of messages that each add a little more, because that reads as pressure, and pressure is what makes a thoughtful woman pull back.
Do not read the ticks as a score either. A man who checks them every few minutes spends his evening waiting. That habit costs him energy and makes his next message needier than it needs to be.
What to do instead
Send one good message and then go and do something else. If she has read it, she will answer when she has something to say, and your quiet is part of how she judges you.
Make the message easy to answer in the first place. a dating coach's rule for a first line is to comment on something specific she shared and make it simple to reply to. A message that asks one clear, light question gets answered more often than one that makes her write a paragraph.
If a day or two passes with a pink tick and nothing back, one short follow-up is fair. Make it a fresh, specific line, not a complaint about the silence. After that, give her space. A woman who is interested will reply, and a woman who is not will not be moved by a third message.
Use the ticks to set your timing
Ticks are useful in one respect: they show whether a conversation is live. Two pink ticks followed quickly by a reply is a good sign that she is engaged. When that happens, take the next step soon instead of letting the chat drift.
My advice is to move a good conversation toward a call rather than building a relationship in text. Plans made only by message with someone you have never met are much more likely to fall through. Muzz lets members call inside the app, so you do not need a phone number to try it. Suggest a short call, and respect how she wants to do it, including a chaperone if she wants one.
Matches do not last forever
Time also matters for a different reason. Muzz matches run out if neither person sends a message for a while. So a long gap is not only awkward. It can end the match.
That is another reason to write soon after a match, to reply to her the same day when you can, and to avoid the kind of slow back and forth where each of you waits for the other. A steady, relaxed pace beats both fast bursts and long silences.
The simple rule
Treat the ticks as information about delivery and attention, not about her feelings. Send a clear message, leave the app, and answer when she answers. A man who does that comes across as secure, and that is what a woman reading a conversation on Muzz is looking for.
