Yes, in two ways. You can pause your account, which takes your profile out of reach of other members without deleting it. Or, if you are a Platinum subscriber, you can turn on Incognito mode, so that your profile is visible only to people you have liked first. Coffee Meets Bagel also lets you hide someone else's profile from yourself. Which one you want depends on whether you need a break or just more control.
Pause your account
Pausing is the closest thing to hiding your profile entirely. Coffee Meets Bagel's help center says a bagel who has deleted or paused their account is one you cannot access on the platform. So a paused profile is not available to others.
On iPhone, tap your profile icon, tap Settings, then tap Pause account under Account. Confirm Pause my account, and pick a reason.
On Android, tap your profile icon, then the three dots in the top right, then Settings. Switch off the Active toggle under Account.
Pausing is not deleting. Nothing about your account is erased by it.
Incognito mode on Platinum
Platinum subscribers can turn on Incognito mode. With it, your profile is visible only to people you have liked first.
That is a different tool. A paused account takes you off the board. Incognito keeps you in the game on your terms, because your profile is shown only to women you have liked. It suits a man who does not want a coworker, a neighbor or an ex to come across his profile.
If you do not have Platinum, pausing is your option.
Hiding another person from yourself
This is a different question that sounds the same. From someone's profile, tap Hide or Report, then Hide them. You will not be able to see or message them again.
Use it for a profile you would rather never see. It does not hide your profile from her, so it is not a way to disappear.
Deleting is not the same as pausing
Some men delete their account to disappear, and then discover the Premium subscription kept going. Coffee Meets Bagel's help center says deleting your account does not cancel a Premium subscription, which you manage through the App Store or Google Play.
If you plan to leave for good, cancel through the store you paid in, as well as deleting. If you only want a break, pause instead, since pausing is easy to reverse.
When pausing makes sense
There are good reasons to hide a profile. You may be seeing someone and want to find out where it goes. You may be traveling for a month. You may be tired and want the matches to stop arriving while you reset.
Each of those is a break with an end date. Pausing fits them well. Put a reminder on your phone for the day you plan to come back, because a paused account has a way of staying paused for a year.
When pausing is the wrong answer
Be careful if you are pausing because you are not getting results. A pause does not fix anything. You come back with the same profile and the same response.
a dating coach's advice is to improve the top of the funnel first: the lead photo, the bio, and the first few messages. A profile that is not working can usually be fixed in an afternoon, and that is better than switching it off.
Look at the profile as a stranger would. Does your first photo show your face clearly? Does the bio give her something to answer? coach points out that most men write the same sweet, agreeable lines, and that sameness is exactly why nothing happens.
If the answer is no, rework it before you hide it. A few hours on the profile will do more for you than a month away.
Coming back
Before you turn the account back on, review the profile with fresh eyes. Use the break to choose better photos and rewrite anything generic. If you would like a second opinion, a profile can be checked and rewritten as one set, so the photos, bio and prompts each add something different.
Then use the account properly: like women you would actually meet, write first messages she can answer, and suggest a plan within a few days.
