Most of the time it is your connection, your phone's storage, or an old copy of the app. Muzz's own guidance starts with the internet: a shaky Wi-Fi or data connection can make the app act up. If the connection is fine, force-close the app, restart your phone, clear the cache, free up space and update both Muzz and your phone's software.

Start with your connection

Muzz says a weak Wi-Fi or data signal can make the app act up. Check that first, because it takes thirty seconds.

If you are on Wi-Fi, switch to mobile data and open Muzz again. If it works, the problem is your Wi-Fi, so restart your router. If you are on mobile data, try Wi-Fi.

One more cause is worth knowing. Some broadband parental controls can block Muzz. If you are on a home connection that has them, try turning them off and open the app again.

Force-close the app and reopen it

A half-stuck app often clears up after a clean start.

  • On iPhone, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and flick Muzz away.
  • On Android, go to Settings, then Apps, then Muzz, then Force Stop.

Then open Muzz again.

Restart your phone

If it still hangs, restart your phone completely. Turn it off, wait a few seconds and turn it back on. It sounds too simple, but it clears out a lot of small faults that closing one app does not.

Clear the cache

The cache is the temporary data Muzz stores on your phone. When it gets corrupted, the app can crash on launch. Clearing it does not delete your account.

  • On Android, go to Settings, then Apps, then Muzz, then Storage, then Clear Cache.
  • On iPhone, go to Settings, then Muzz, and reset the cache on next launch.

Open the app after you do this. It may take a little longer to load the first time.

Free up space and update

Low phone storage causes problems for every app, not only this one. Go to Settings, then Storage, and clear out what you do not need. Old videos and downloaded files are the usual culprits.

Then make sure both Muzz and your phone's software are up to date. A phone running old software can fall out of step with a current version of the app, and the fix is an update, not a reinstall.

If none of it works

Contact Muzz through its Help Centre. Tell them what phone you have, what you already tried and what happens when it crashes. A short, specific report gets a faster answer than a message that only says the app is broken.

Do not lose a good conversation while it is down

This is the part that matters for a man who wants a wife. A crash costs you more than a few minutes if it lands in the middle of a good conversation.

Women on a marriage app read silence. If a match has just replied and you vanish for two days, she may assume you lost interest, and she has other men writing to her. A conversation that was warm on Tuesday can be cold by Friday.

So have a backup. If the app will not open, try Muzz on another phone you can sign in on. If you cannot, wait until it works and then write something honest and short: "My app was down all weekend, glad to be back. I wanted to ask what you meant about your trip." A plain explanation and a question about something she said does more than a long apology.

Keep your own messaging simple

A man who texts well does not depend on the app being perfect. Once a conversation is going and she is comfortable, suggest a short call inside the app. A voice on a call tells you more about her in ten minutes than a week of typing, and it moves things toward a meeting arranged in a way she is comfortable with.

If crashes keep happening after you have tried every step above, and the phone is not the problem, give it a few days. Meanwhile, spend the evening on something that moves your results: re-read your own page, check that your photos are clear, and write a better first message for the next match.

The same goes for a bad day with the app. A crash is annoying, but it is rarely the reason a conversation dies. Conversations die because the first message was vague, the replies got shorter or nobody suggested a plan. Fix those and a day offline costs you very little.
