There are four common causes, and Feeld spells out each of them. The image may have been flagged as inappropriate. Your gallery may be full. The app may lack permission to reach your phone's gallery. Or the picture you used for verification may have been hidden or removed. Each one has a different fix, so start by working out which one you are dealing with.
Where to add or change an image
The route is the same every time. On Feeld, go to Settings, then Edit profile, then Edit photos. Everything about adding, removing and reordering happens there.
If you cannot find a way to add an image at all, read the next section before anything else. The most common reason an add button seems to do nothing is a full gallery.
A full gallery blocks the new image
Feeld says you can have between 1 and 6 images on a profile. Once you have reached the top, the app will not take another one until you remove one.
This catches men who try to swap an image by adding the replacement first. The new image never appears, and it looks like the app is broken. Remove the old one first, then add the new one. Replacing in that order takes about a minute.
A flagged image stays until you delete it
Feeld does not allow nudity or highly sexualized images on profiles. When it flags an image, two things happen at once. In your own account the image is blurred. To everyone else it does not show at all.
That second part is why the problem is easy to miss. You may look at your own profile and see something fuzzy, or see nothing wrong, while other members see an empty slot.
The fix is narrow. Feeld says a flagged image can only be deleted. You do it from the Inappropriate content banner in your settings, then Delete photo. You cannot edit it, crop it, or wait it out.
If you believe the image was flagged by mistake, Feeld says to contact its support team and ask them to review it. Say which image it was and why you think it is within the rules.
The app cannot see your gallery
If new images will not upload at all, the cause is often permissions. Feeld says the app needs permission to access your photo gallery. Open your phone's settings, find the Feeld app, and allow access to your gallery. Then force close Feeld and reopen it, which Feeld recommends, and try again.
A hidden verification image can undo your verification
Feeld says an image has to be public to be used for verification. If the image you verified with is hidden or removed, you need to verify again with another public image.
So if your verified badge disappears right after you reshuffle your pictures, this is the likely reason. Before you hide or delete anything, check which image you used to verify. Keep that one public, or plan to verify again with a different one.
How to check that it worked
After a change, open your own profile and look at the slot. A flagged image shows up blurred in your own account, so a clear image there tells you the flag is gone. If the slot is still blurred, go back to the Inappropriate content banner in your settings and finish the delete.
Then check your verification. If you reshuffled your pictures, make sure the one you verified with is still public. A short check now saves you from finding out a week later that your badge disappeared.
Once it works, pick the right image
Fixing the upload is the easy part. What goes in the first slot is where most of the result comes from.
a dating coach goes through student profiles in his coaching, and his notes on a lead image come back to the same things. Good light on the face. A background that is blurred, not busy. An expression that looks composed instead of strained. In one review he said the man should have taken a hundred of that exact shot and picked the best pose, instead of keeping the first acceptable one. That advice costs nothing, and you can follow it today with a friend and a phone.
Two other habits help. Do not let the first image be the only strong one, because a woman who likes the lead will scroll through the rest, and weak ones undo the good impression. And keep your own set consistent with who you are in person. a dating coach's rule is that your pictures should be congruent with how you show up on the date, so the woman who meets you does not feel she met a different man.
When you are done, look at the whole set the way a stranger would and find the weakest image. Replace that one first, and use the steps above to get the swap live.
