A dating coach should never promise how a particular woman will respond when you approach her, how many dates you will get by a certain day, or that your nerves will disappear. None of those is in anyone's control. What an honest bootcamp can promise is what it does: where the person teaching you stands in the field, what he teaches, how often he corrects you and what you leave with.
That a woman will say yes
No coach controls another person. A woman decides based on her mood, her day, who she is with and whether she is interested in you, and none of that can be taught away.
A coach who tells you "she will always say yes if you do it right" is selling a trick. What he can teach is how to approach without making things worse, how to read whether she is interested, and how to end the conversation well when she is not. Those improve your odds. They do not remove her say.
A number of dates by a date
"Three dates a week in 30 days." Numbers like these sound exact, which is why they sell. They depend on who you are, where you live, how often you go out, and how you respond to feedback, and a coach cannot see any of that from a sales page.
Be careful with any program that attaches a number and a deadline to a result. An honest version says what you will do, such as a set number of hours in the field, and leaves the outcome to you and the women you meet.
That you will never feel nervous again
Approach anxiety is a normal body response. a dating coach calls it "completely biologically normal and natural." It gets smaller with practice, and for many men the first approach of a day stays the hardest for years.
What a coach can promise is that you will learn to act while nervous, and that the nerves will be quieter after enough approaches. A coach who promises to remove them is promising something your body will not agree to.
That a pickup line works on everyone
"The line that works on any woman." People differ, and a line that lands in one place falls flat in another. A coach who teaches you to read the woman in front of you gives you something that works across all of them.
The better promise is skill, not a script: how to start a conversation, how to keep it going, how to move toward a date.
A relationship
A coach can help you meet more women and have better conversations. Whether one becomes a relationship depends on two people. If a coach says "you will find love" or "she will be your girlfriend," he is promising something that was never his to give.
Results without effort
Any promise that you will change while doing very little is false. A bootcamp can compress practice into a few days. It cannot do the practice for you. The men who get the most from a weekend are the ones who keep approaching afterward.
That he can fix what he has not seen in the field
A coach who gives you a full plan after one sales call, with no sight of how you actually approach, is guessing. Real coaching begins with watching you.
That is why in-person coaching matters. At a Cold Approach Bootcamp the coach is next to you for every approach, sees what you actually do, and corrects it on the spot. a dating coach says "sometimes major mistakes you're making in field can be corrected with literally one comment," and he can only say it if he is there.
What an honest bootcamp can promise
- Where he will be. Next to you for every approach, not watching from a distance.
- What he will teach. Approaching and conversation, attraction and delivery, numbers and dates, and handling rejection.
- How much time you get. Each Cold Approach training day is two four-hour coaching blocks in the field.
- How many students he has. Group is three students per coach, and Private is fully 1-on-1.
- What you leave with. A written practice plan and access to the community Slack.
- What is not included. There is no follow-up call, and filming is a separate add-on.
Those are all things a program can do and say plainly. We keep ours there.
How to use this
When you read a coach's page, mark every sentence that promises an outcome in the future, and every sentence that describes what the coach does. A good page is mostly the second kind. If it is mostly the first, treat it with caution.
