A new city is the best time to set your habits. Nobody expects you to have a routine yet, so you can build one that includes talking to women in person from your first weeks. The ColdApproach.io Bootcamp runs in both Miami and New York, which means the training happens on the streets you now live on, with a coach beside you.

You do not need to know the city first, and you do not need any approach experience. You need a few places near your door, a habit of going back to them, and someone who corrects what you do while you are still doing it.

Why the first weeks in a new city matter

Right after a move, almost everything is open. Nobody knows you, your routine is not set, and every neighborhood is new. That is an advantage that fades. After a few months you have a gym, a coffee shop, a group of coworkers and a set of evenings that look the same, and it takes real effort to add something to that.

A man who relocates for work, or after a divorce or a long relationship, often tells himself he will settle in first and start meeting women later. Later tends to turn into a year. The weeks when you are still exploring are the weeks when walking up to a stranger costs the least, because you are already doing something unfamiliar every day.

Being new also gives you a true opener. "I just moved here. Where should I get coffee?" is friendly, honest and easy to answer.

Start near where you live

Pick two or three areas close to home where women are out during the day. A cafe street, a park, a stretch of shops. Then go back to them. The point is repetition, not discovery. The tenth visit to the same block is easier than the first visit to ten different ones, because you know the layout and the faces and where you can stop and talk without blocking anyone.

Keep each conversation short. Say hello, say why you stopped, ask something about what is in front of you, and see how she responds. If she is interested, suggest a coffee close by or ask for her number. If she is not, thank her and move on. A good exchange can take a minute.

Venues change, and your own street matters more than any list, so what follows is general guidance for each city.

Day and night in Miami

By day, Miami is relaxed. Women sit in cafes, walk Lincoln Road, and stay in one place on the beach, so you are not chasing anyone. Miami Beach is a separate city across the bay from the mainland, so decide which side you are on before you head out.

After dark the city spreads out. South Beach, Wynwood, Brickell, Coconut Grove and the Design District each have a different feel, and you cannot cover them all in one night. Pick one for the evening and stay in it. Early in the evening, before the music gets loud, is when it is easiest to hear each other.

a dating coach describes Miami as a nightlife and party city with warm weather that lets you go out nearly all year. Women there are approached often, so a calm, friendly hello does more than a loud one. Spanish is widely spoken, and a warm hello in either language costs nothing.

Day and night in New York

New York gives you more strangers on foot than any other city in the country. a dating coach calls it his number one city for learning game, and his daytime advice is to use the parks, where people are relaxed and often sitting alone. A conversation that goes badly is forgotten by the next block, and one that goes well can become a coffee, since a cafe or a bar is usually within a couple of blocks.

Where you live matters here. Women travel to central Manhattan more readily than out to the outer boroughs, so if your place is far from the center, plan to meet women near the middle of the city and invite them somewhere close.

At night, New York is a late city. a dating coach suggests going out early, staying late, and treating a quiet midweek bar as a good room to talk. You do not need the perfect venue. Visit a few, see who is there, and keep the ones where you can have a conversation.

The apps are a second source, not the plan

The apps can sit beside all of this. Many men open them in the first week of a move because it feels like the fastest way to meet someone. They are a fine extra, and they are a slow way to learn a new city, because they do nothing to make you comfortable walking up to a woman.

Use the apps for what they do well, and spend your real effort on the streets. The man who can start a conversation anywhere does not depend on the apps to get him a date.

Training in the city you just moved to

The Bootcamp is in-person training in the field, in real venues in your new city. You approach women with a coach beside you, and you hear what to change while the moment is still fresh. Our way to put it is find and fix instantly: a mistake that would cost you for years if you were alone can be corrected with a single comment.

Here is how it works in each city:

  • Miami Group: runs on published weekends, Friday to Sunday, led by Matthew Stevens, Co-Founder and Head Coach.
  • New York Group: available on request.
  • Private: arranged with your coach, in Miami or New York.

Each training day is two four-hour blocks. Daygame and night game are mixed to suit you, and every day covers the same four parts: approaching and conversation, attraction and delivery, numbers and dates, and handling rejection and following through. There is no skill floor, and a total beginner is exactly who this is built for.

You leave with a short written practice plan that says what is working, what needs attention and where to focus next. You also keep access to the community Slack once your coach adds you. A follow-up call is not part of the package.

Booking is instant checkout, with no sales call.

Group or Private, and the price of each

Group is three consecutive days with no more than three students per coach, so you still get individual attention while you learn beside other men. Private is fully 1-on-1, which suits a man who wants every minute spent on his own approaches or who needs the days set around a work schedule.

  • Group Bootcamp: $3,000 for three days
  • Private Bootcamp, one day: $1,750
  • Private Bootcamp, two days: $3,000
  • Private Bootcamp, three days: $4,000
  • Filming add-on: $350, optional. A coach films you approaching for one hour, then breaks down the footage with you set by set.

Longer Private programs are available and quoted on request.

Questions men ask after a move

I work long hours, can I fit it in?

Group is a single weekend, Friday to Sunday, so it needs one block of time rather than a standing weekly commitment. Private days are arranged with your coach, which helps if your schedule is hard to move. If you are weighing the two, Private is the one built around you.

Do I need to know the city first?

No. Your coach knows where to work in the city, and you learn the streets while you are training on them. Knowing less about the city is not a disadvantage, and you leave with a clearer picture of your own neighborhood than a year of wandering would give you.

What if I lock up?

Approach anxiety is the specialty. Locking up, going blank and not knowing what to say are the reasons to get coached, not things to fix first. Your coach raises the bar only after you clear the one you have.

What happens after?

You go home with the written practice plan and access to the community Slack, and you are already in the city where you will keep practicing. Your own area is the place you go back to, so the habits you start with your coach carry straight into the next week.
