She misses you when the time she spends with you is good and then there is a little gap. That is the whole method. Keep a full life of your own, do not answer within seconds every time, end dates and calls while they are still enjoyable, and tell her the truth about what you are doing. It does not involve vanishing or inventing a busy schedule. A man who has something good going on is simply harder to take for granted.

Why absence works at all

a dating coach explains it with a line he has heard: falling in love is something a person does to herself when the other person is not around. The feeling happens in her head, and it needs some space to grow.

He adds the other half. A woman who gets constant, predictable positive attention gets used to it. She stops noticing the warmth because it never varies, and being taken for granted is, in his words, one of the death knells of a relationship. A little contrast helps her see what she has. Between a man who is always available and a man who is warm but sometimes elsewhere, the second one gets thought about.

Absence only does anything after you have given her something good to miss. If your time together is dull, a gap is just a gap.

Have a week she is not part of

The cleanest way to be less available is to have somewhere else to be. Train on set days. Keep your friends. Work on a project. Have a night that is yours.

Then talk about it when you see her. Tell her about the match you played, the problem you solved at work, the friend who is moving to Berlin. A man who comes back with stories is more interesting than one who spent the week waiting by the phone, and she can tell the difference.

Space out the contact

You do not need to report every thought you have. If you saw each other on Monday, Tuesday does not have to bring five texts. Let one good text carry the day and leave room for her to start something.

Do not time your replies on purpose. Answer when you can, which will sometimes be quick and sometimes not. Stopping yourself from replying for three hours is a performance, and she can tell when it is.

End on a high

Leave while it is still fun. When the night is going well, say "I've got an early start tomorrow, so I'll steal you back on Friday" instead of letting it run until everyone is tired. End the call a few minutes before the topics dry up.

The last minute is the part she remembers, so make it warm and slightly short. Give her a clear next plan so the gap feels like anticipation, not uncertainty.

When she is far away or on vacation

If she is traveling, send one good text a day at most, and make it specific: a joke about her flight, or "the restaurant you described sounds like your whole personality". Do not ask what she is doing every hour or complain that you miss her.

Let her enjoy her trip. She will bring up how much she misses you when she has the time to feel it. If a woman is on holiday and her boyfriend stays calm and warm, she tends to notice.

What backfires

  • Vanishing without a word. Silence with no reason looks like losing interest, not mystery.
  • Pretending to be busy. If she finds out, you look manipulative. coach is clear in another video: lying about your life to seem in demand wrecks trust and says you need to fake it to be enough.
  • Jealousy bait. Mentioning other women makes her wary of you, not hungry for you.
  • Being cold as a tactic. Warmth plus space works. Cold plus space looks like punishment.

coach also warns that techniques of this kind are strong, so use them for something you actually want, a relationship you intend to keep, and not for a game you are playing.

When she is the one ignoring you

If she is not answering, make one clear invitation with a plan and then stop. Do not text again, do not send a long note and do not post things to get her attention. Go live your week.

If she answers, good. If she does not, her silence is the answer, and no strategy will make her miss someone who never became important to her. Move on and put your effort into women who show up.
