You hide your profile on Luxy with Hide My Profile, a setting for BLACK and PLATINUM members under Settings, then Privacy. Once it is on, your profile is only visible to members you have liked or messaged first. Your search filters will not do this for you. They only control who you see, not who can see you.
Turning on Hide My Profile
Open Settings, go to Privacy, and switch on Hide My Profile. You need to be a BLACK or PLATINUM member to use it.
From then on, women browsing the app will not come across you. Your page is only visible to women you have already made a move on.
Who can still see you
Only the members you have liked or written to first. Everyone else has no way to find you.
So hiding does not take you off Luxy. It turns you from someone women can discover into someone women only see when you choose them. You decide who gets a look.
Why your filters do not hide you
This catches a lot of men out. They set their search filters to a certain age, a certain area, a certain type, and assume the filters work both ways.
They do not. Luxy says your filters only control who you see. A woman outside your filters can still come across you, unless Hide My Profile is on. If you want to limit who sees you, the privacy setting is the tool that does it.
The price of staying hidden
Staying hidden is not free, even though it costs no money. You lose every woman who would have found you on her own.
On a normal account, some of your interest arrives without you lifting a finger: women who see you, like you, and wait for you to notice. Hidden, that stops. Every conversation you have starts with a move you made.
That suits some men and hurts others. If your photos are your strongest asset, hiding throws away the easy wins they would have brought you. If your writing is your strength, being the one who always reaches out first plays to it.
Before you switch it on, take an honest look at where your conversations come from now. If most of them start with women who found you first, hiding will cut your results hard, and you should expect to spend more time reaching out to make up for it. If nearly all of them already start with you, hiding costs you very little.
When hiding is worth it
There are good reasons to use it.
Your work may make privacy matter. If you deal with clients, or you are well known in your city, you may not want every colleague or customer on the app to scroll past you. You might want to stay out of sight of someone specific, an ex or a woman from the office. Or you may simply prefer to control exactly who sees your page.
In each of those cases, hiding is the right call, and the lost inbound interest is a fair trade.
Make every look count
When you are hidden, you chose every woman who gets to see you. She is looking at your page because you liked her or wrote to her, so your page is doing the second half of your approach. It had better be good.
Lead with a clear, close photo of you alone, in good light. After it, add a handful of shots from different days and settings that show how you actually live. Leave out anything below the standard of the rest, because a single weak photo drags the whole set down.
Then give your bio something she can hold on to. Two or three concrete details she can ask about, plus a line with a little personality, turn a curious look into a reply. If your first message is good and your page backs it up, having fewer viewers is not a problem.
Hidden means you have to stay active
A hidden account only works if you use it. Nobody new will find you, so a quiet week means no new conversations at all.
Set yourself a short, regular routine. A few minutes in the morning and the evening, liking the women you want to talk to and writing to them, keeps things moving without eating your day. Showing up every day matters more than the occasional long session.
And treat the setting as something you can revisit. The reason you hid may not last. If the colleague leaves, the ex moves on, or you simply want more women to find you, go back to Settings, then Privacy, and look at the choice again.
