One Video Prompt. Hinge's help center says you can add a single Video Prompt, and that it is optional. The same page covers the rest of a Hinge profile: three written prompt answers at a time, one optional Prompt Poll, and an optional pairing of a prompt with a picture. It does not say how many Voice Prompts you can add, so nobody should tell you a number.
The counts Hinge does give
Three written prompt answers show at a time, and you can change them as often as you like. That is the fixed part of the page.
On top of those you can add one Video Prompt and one Prompt Poll. Both are optional, and each has its own slot. A Photo Prompt is a third optional format, where a prompt is paired with one of your pictures. None of them replaces the written answers. They sit alongside them.
To record a Video Prompt, press and hold the white button and use your device camera, or pick a video you already have on your device. The Prompt Poll is different. It lets people send a Like or a Rose to the specific response that speaks to them, so it works like a small question you ask the room.
The number Hinge does not give
Voice Prompts are the gap. Hinge's help center lists Voice Prompts among the content types you can appeal if Hinge removes them. Its article on editing prompts does not say how many Voice Prompts a profile can hold.
That silence means two things. You cannot assume you can stack several, and you cannot assume you are limited to one. The honest way to find out is to open Edit Profile in the app and see what it offers you. What the editor lets you add is the real limit for your account.
What a man should actually fill
More slots is not the same as a better page. Most men will do better with three strong written answers and one other format than with every box filled.
a dating coach's point about any profile is that a short, good one is far better than a long, bad one, and that the worst thing on the page is boring. A video clip you rushed or a poll nobody wants to answer is another place to be boring, and it is harder to hide because she is watching your face and hearing your voice.
A solid full page looks like this: three written answers that each tell a small true story, one clip if you are good on camera, and a poll if you have a question worth asking. Anything past that is optional, and an empty slot does less harm than a weak one.
So pick the format that makes you look good fast. A man who is warm and funny out loud should record the clip. A man who writes sharply and is awkward on camera should leave the video slot empty and spend the effort on his written answers.
Using the one video well
If you add the Video Prompt, treat it like a single sentence said to a friend. Hold the phone at eye level in a room with real light. Say one thing that has a clear beginning and end, then stop.
My advice on still pictures applies more to a clip. When you are being filmed, the thought in your head shows. If you are thinking about getting it over with, she sees that. If you are thinking about the story, she sees that instead.
Do not read it from a page. Do not apologize at the start. And do not try to cram your whole life into it.
Using the poll
The poll is the underused slot. A good one asks something she can answer in a second, like a choice between two plans for a Saturday. Because people can send a Like or a Rose to the response that speaks to them, a poll gives her an easy way to reach you and gives you something to open the chat with.
Keep the options plain and specific. A poll with a joke in every answer reads as if you are trying too hard.
Check the editor before you plan around a number
A help page and the app itself can say different things. Open Edit Profile, count the boxes you can fill, and rely on that. If you do not see a Voice Prompt box, the editor is telling you what you can use.
If you want a second pair of eyes on which formats to use, show the finished page to someone who does not know you. Ask what they think you are like and what you do on a weekend. If the answer sounds like you, the page is working.
