Register on the Christian Mingle website or in its iPhone or Android app, using email, Facebook, Google or Apple. Give your date of birth, your real first name, your gender and the gender you want to meet. Then answer the onboarding questions carefully, because those answers decide who it recommends. You cannot search for members. You Like the people it shows you, and when a Like is mutual it becomes a match and you can message her from the Chats tab.
Signing up
You can register on the website or in the app, so use whichever one you will actually open every day. The details it asks for are the basics: birth date, first name, your gender and the gender of the partner you want.
Write down which of the four sign-in methods you used. Christian Mingle says most login trouble comes from signing in a different way than you registered, such as with email one day and Facebook the next. A man who forgets this loses an evening to a locked screen.
The onboarding answers do the work
Because there is no member search, the recommendations are the whole product. The site picks compatible matches from your onboarding answers and your preferences.
That makes the questions the most important ten minutes you will spend on the site. A rushed set of answers sends you the wrong women, and you will blame the app for it. Sit down properly and answer them the way you would answer a friend who is setting you up. Be specific about how often faith shapes your week, what you want from the next few years, and where you live.
Discover, Likes and the daily limit
Discover shows you members who do not fully match your preferences, one at a time. You choose Like or Discard. It is a way to see women your filters would have hidden, and some of them will be better fits than the questions predicted.
Free Basic members get a daily cap on Likes, and Premium members get unlimited ones. Spend the cap on women you would actually take to coffee. Even with no cap, a Like should mean something. A woman who sees that you Like everyone has little reason to believe you picked her.
Intro Messages
An Intro Message is a short note you send along with a Like, so she reads something from you before she decides whether to Like you back. Basic members get a small weekly allowance, and Premium members get a larger one.
Because you only have a few, make each one about her. Find one specific detail on her page and ask one question she can answer in a sentence. "You wrote that you lead a Saturday trail group. Which trail is best for someone's first time?" gives her something to answer. "Hi, I liked your page" gives her nothing. a dating coach's first-message method is the same on every app: find something unusual on her page, comment on it, and keep it short.
Chats and getting to a plan
When two people Like each other, they match, and either of you can message from the Chats tab. That works on Basic and on Premium, so you do not need to pay to talk to a match.
Do not let the chat run for weeks. A conversation that stays inside an app fades. After a few real exchanges, suggest coffee or a walk near her and give a day. a dating coach's routine is to get the plan set, get her number, and call her before the date when you can. A short call makes you less of a stranger, and she is more likely to turn up.
Verify with a selfie
Members can verify their page with a selfie and earn a blue verified badge. It takes a few minutes and answers the question every woman has about every man online: is he real, and does he look like this?
It will not make you more attractive. It removes one reason for her to hesitate, and that is worth a few minutes.
Check your numbers after a week
If it is not working, find the step that is failing before you change anything. a dating coach treats online dating as a chain of ratios: how many Likes come back, how many matches reply, how many replies become plans. Only one link is usually broken.
Few Likes coming back means your photos are the issue. Matches who go quiet means your first message is the issue. Good conversations that never become dates means you are waiting too long to ask. Fix the one that is failing, wait a week, and count again.
