Raya's version of verification is an application, and a committee decides it. Membership is by application only, and Raya's applications are reviewed by a global committee on an ongoing basis. Reporting says applicants give their name, age, occupation and a link to their Instagram. None of those sources describes an ID upload or a selfie step. What they describe is a set of people deciding whether you are accepted.

That is a short list, and it explains why men get nervous. There is no single document to get right. What the committee sees is the picture those four items paint, and most of it comes from Instagram.

The sources describing this are press coverage, not a Raya checklist, so treat the list as what has been reported and not as a promise. What is solid is that Raya admits members by application and review.

Verification on Raya does not end at the door. Raya's App Store listing says accounts may be suspended or terminated for behavior that does not reflect its community guidelines.

So being accepted is an ongoing arrangement. The behavior the listing points at is the ordinary kind: treat women with respect, do not hassle anyone who does not answer, and do not use the app to promote something. Men who behave on Raya the way they would at a good dinner party have little to worry about.

Since your Instagram does so much of the work, treat it as part of your dating setup. a dating coach's rule for any photo set is that you will be judged on your worst photo. Remove anything that makes you look like you blend into a crowd, or like you are surrounded by friends who do not help you.
