A divorced man who has not dated in years does best with coaching that puts him in front of real women quickly, with someone beside him to correct what he does. A ColdApproach.io Bootcamp is built for that. It runs in person in Miami and New York, it has no skill floor, and your coach starts with the man you are today, not the one who last met a woman fifteen years ago.
The long gap is the main thing to plan around. It is not a defect. It is a reason to want reps with feedback instead of more reading.
What the gap does to a man
Years of marriage mean years of not starting a conversation with a stranger. The skill fades the way any unused skill does. Three things tend to show up:
- Rust in the first thirty seconds. You know what you want to say and cannot get started.
- Old assumptions. You may expect to meet someone through friends, work or a shared event, and find those routes are thinner now.
- A lowered opinion of yourself. A divorce often leaves a man doubting what he has to offer, and that doubt shows up in his voice and posture before he says a word.
a dating coach has coached men for twenty years and says the same about every hang-up: it is real, and it is workable. The men who do badly are the ones who treat the hang-up as a reason to stay home. The men who do well show up and work with what they have.
Why apps are not the whole answer
Many men go straight to a dating app after divorce because that is what friends suggest. An app can be part of a plan, but it leaves the hardest skill untouched. You still have to talk to a woman in person, and that is where the nerves live.
Approaching in person also has a plain advantage for a man who is back on the market after years away. You find out within a minute whether there is any interest. You do not wait days for a reply that may not come.
What a Bootcamp covers for a man starting over
Bootcamp training happens in the field, not in a classroom. Every training day is two four-hour coaching blocks, with live coaching on each approach and feedback after every set. Daygame (streets and cafes by day) and night game (bars and lounges) are mixed to suit you. Each day covers four parts as they come up:
- Approaching and conversation: getting through the hesitation before you walk over, the first thirty seconds, and keeping the talk going without it turning into an interview.
- Attraction and delivery: real interest, flirting, voice, eye contact and posture.
- Numbers and dates: exchanging numbers or Instagram, texting toward a date, and knowing when an immediate date makes sense.
- Rejection and follow-through: handling a no without letting it decide your evening. You leave with a written practice plan.
For a man who has been away from all of this, the third part matters more than he expects. Asking for a number and setting up a date have their own habits, and they are different from what worked a decade ago.
Group or Private for a man in your position
Group runs three consecutive days with no more than three students per coach. You learn from the coaching the others get, and many men find it easier to start when they are not the only one who is nervous.
Private is fully 1-on-1. It suits a man who would rather work through his first approaches without other students watching, or who wants every block aimed at his own situation. The article on Group or Private compares the two.
Here is what each one costs:
- Group: $3,000 for three consecutive days, with no more than three students per coach.
- Private: $1,750 for one day, $3,000 for two days or $4,000 for three days, fully 1-on-1.
- Longer Private programs: available on request.
Both are instant checkout on the Bootcamp page.
Things to tell your coach
You do not have to explain your divorce or say anything about your ex wife. It helps to say a few practical things:
- How long it has been since you approached anyone.
- Whether daytime or night feels harder.
- Anything you are afraid of, such as locking up, being judged or running into someone you know.
- What you want afterward: dates, a relationship, or simply to feel at ease talking to women again.
After the Bootcamp
You leave with a short written practice plan: what worked, what needs attention and where to focus the next time you go out. Every Bootcamp student keeps access to the community Slack. A follow-up call is not part of the package, so men who want a coach to keep reviewing their approaches look at the Mentorship.
You do not need to be ready before you come.
