Not in any way Bumble describes. Its help center lists no reset that brings back everyone you have already swiped on in the People tab. The closest thing is Backtrack, which undoes a left swipe, and it needs a Bumble Boost, Premium or Premium+ subscription. It only works on left swipes, so a right swipe cannot be undone.
What Backtrack does
Swiping left means you are not interested. If you swipe left by accident or change your mind, Backtrack undoes that swipe and puts the profile back in front of you.
It has two limits. It requires a paid plan, and it covers only passes. If you swiped right on someone by mistake, nothing in the help center lets you reverse that.
So Backtrack is a tool for the last few people you passed, not a way to wipe the slate.
Why a full reset is not on offer
A reset that returned everyone would defeat the point of passing on a profile. Bumble wants you to make a decision about each woman and then move on.
Bumble also warns against the usual workaround. Its help center says that repeatedly deleting and recreating your account can hurt your chances, because a consistent profile helps people recognize you. So starting over with a new account to see everyone again is something the app advises against.
The setting that brings more people
One setting does bring back people, though not the ones you passed. Among the Basic filters is an option called Show other people if I run out. It lets Bumble show people outside your filters once you have seen everyone inside them.
Bumble does not describe it as a way to see profiles again. It is a way to keep the People tab from emptying when your filters are tight. If you are running dry, loosen a filter first, since even small changes to age or distance can bring up women you missed.
Where your likes and matches live
Bumble says there is no way to see everyone you have liked or SuperSwiped. What you can see is every match, because all of your matches are in the Chats tab.
Premium members can also open the Liked You tab to see who has already liked them. If your goal is to find women who are interested, that tab is more useful than a reset. Those are the profiles that were always going to say yes.
What to do about a woman you passed on
If you want a particular profile back, you have three honest options.
- If it was a very recent pass and you have a paid plan, use Backtrack.
- If she liked you, check the Liked You tab as a Premium member.
- Accept that she is gone and talk to someone who is in front of you now.
Most men who want to see everyone again are not missing one woman. They are reacting to a deck that has gone quiet, and the cause is usually their filters, not a lack of resets.
Use the people you already have
All of your matches sit in the Chats tab, and for many men that tab holds more opportunity than the People tab does. Matches that have gone quiet, women you opened with once and never followed up on, and profiles you matched with and forgot are all there already.
Before you go looking for passes, scroll your chats. A woman who matched with you has already said yes, and a good second message costs nothing.
How to stop wanting a reset
The reason men regret their passes is that they pass too quickly. a dating coach says the women you swipe right on shape the matches you end up with, so choosing well matters. He also says that swiping right on everyone is a poor strategy, because the app penalizes it. The target is a balance.
So give each profile a real look. Read the prompts, look at all the photos and ask whether the photographs could be unflattering. A woman who looks plain in one blurry shot may look very different in the third photo. Pass only when you have actually seen enough.
And if you are passing on almost everyone, the problem is your standard or your filters. Loosen one, wait a few days and see what changes. That does more than any reset could.
