Yes. Go to Search, then Refine Search, and pick a religion. Plenty of Fish's own Christian dating page gives the path: "Go to Search > Refine Search > pick 'Christian' under 'Religion'." The filter only catches women who filled in that field on their profile, so it narrows your search but doesn't finish it.

How to set the filter

  1. Open Search.
  2. Choose Refine Search.
  3. Pick your religion under Religion. Add age, location and anything else you care about at the same time.
  4. Scroll the results and read each profile before you like anyone.

The pages we read put Refine Search under Search. They don't describe a religion filter on Meet Me, the swipe feed.

Is it free?

Search works at every membership level, including free, and one review's feature table marks religion filtering "Yes" for Free, Plus, Premium and Prestige. Another review says search filters aren't paywalled, but it also says Premium adds "advanced filters." The sources don't agree on where the line sits, so check what your own Refine Search screen shows before you pay for anything.

Why the filter misses some women

The filter works on what profiles say. Plenty of Fish tells people to select their religion on their profile, and it suggests stating faith in the headline or About Me section. A woman who skipped that field won't show up, even if she goes to church every Sunday.

Users also complain about the tool itself. One review quotes Trustpilot reviewers who said filters didn't work correctly and showed profiles that didn't match the search. So treat the filter as a first pass:

  • Run the search with your religion selected.
  • Run it again with Religion left open, then scan for faith in her headline, About Me, or photos.
  • Open every profile before you like or message her.

Is Plenty of Fish a Christian dating site?

No. It's a general dating site and app. It has Search, the Meet Me swipe feed, and paid tiers, and none of it is built around a faith. A woman there might be devout, lapsed, curious or not religious at all. A Christian man has to find her by what he filters on, what he writes, and what he asks.

Say what you mean on your own page

"Christian" covers a wide range: someone who serves on Sundays, someone who prays privately, someone who goes at Christmas. "I go to the early service and help run the food pantry" tells her far more than "faith is important to me." Nearly every man writes the second phrase, and a woman reading it skips past.

a dating coach's rule for every app is that a page attracts whatever it announces. A page that states what you want draws women who want the same thing, and it saves you both weeks of mixed signals.

Select your religion in the profile field too, since the filter works on what profiles say.

What to send when you find her

Read her page. Women who care about faith often say so in a line, or mention a church activity, a mission trip or a small group. Use one real detail and ask a question she can answer in a line:

"You mentioned the small group on Wednesdays. What do you all usually end up talking about?"

Ask about faith the way you'd ask about anything she cares about, with curiosity and no quiz. How she answers tells you more than any label.

When a Christian-focused service fits better

A service built for Christians removes the question of whether she shares your faith before you ever see her. That saves time. The cost is a smaller pool, and in a small town it can be very small.

A general site like Plenty of Fish has far more women, and you narrow by filter and by what you write. A sensible way to decide is to try the free version of a Christian-focused service and see how many active women appear near you. If there are plenty, it may be enough. If there are few, use a general site and be clear about your faith from the start. We cover Christian-focused services separately, including what they cost, because their details change.

Keep your standards, calmly

If you want to move slowly, say so once, lightly, without a lecture: "I like to take things slowly and get to know someone properly." A woman who shares that will relax. A woman who doesn't will tell you, and you'll know before anyone is hurt.

The same goes for pace in the conversation. You don't have to message all day or meet in the first week. Keep to your own timetable, and treat a woman who respects it as a good sign.

Test it for two weeks

Run the filtered search and note how many women look active, with clear and current photos. Count how many mention faith in any form, how many of your likes get a reply, and how many replies turn into a plan.

If the pool is thin or the match is poor, add a faith-focused service or switch to one. If it's working, you've found a cheap way to meet a lot of women who share what matters to you.
