This is the boring answer and the most common one. An edit has to travel from your phone to Tinder before it sticks, and a weak signal can drop it on the way.

Men tend to edit their page in the worst places for this: on a train between stations, in a basement gym, at the far end of a café's Wi-Fi. The screen looks as if the change went through. Then you open the app later and the old bio is sitting there as if you never touched it.

Before you edit anything, get onto a connection you trust. Home Wi-Fi with a good signal works, or strong mobile data while you are standing still. Then make the change and give it a moment before you close the app.

If your results were slow before the edit, a small change will not move them much. Your photos carry most of the weight on any dating app. The first one should be a clear, recent shot of your face, alone, in good light.
