A Bumble profile that seems to have vanished is usually hidden, not erased. The three common causes are Snooze Mode, a photo verification you did not pass, or an account you deleted. Check Snooze first, because you can switch it off yourself, and your photos, bio and profile prompts will be exactly where you left them. If the account was deleted, Bumble Support can restore it for a limited time.

Check Snooze Mode first

Snooze Mode hides your profile so you can take a break without deleting anything you wrote. You can snooze for a set period or indefinitely, and you can turn it off at any time to become visible again.

This is the easiest cause to miss, because snoozing is simple to do and simple to forget. A week of "I will just hide for a bit" turns into a month, and then you wonder where you went.

Open your settings, look for Snooze Mode, and see whether it is on. If it is, switch it off, and you are visible again.

One warning goes with that. Bumble says that while Snooze Mode is on, any matches you have without active chats will expire. So if you come back to find fewer people than you left, that is the cost of the break, not a second problem.

A verification you did not pass

Bumble can require Photo Verification. If you did not pass it and used all your attempts, you may find you cannot get into the account, and Bumble's answer is to contact Support.

Bumble gives you a limited number of attempts to retry. It also says to make sure at least one photo of you alone is on your profile, so check that before you try again. A clear photo of your own face, with nobody else in it, is the safest one to rely on.

An account you deleted

If you deleted your Bumble account, it is no longer viewable on the app. Bumble says that for a limited time afterward it can be restored if you contact Support. After that window, it begins deleting your personal information.

So a deleted account is recoverable in the short term and permanent after. If you did it on impulse, or you are not sure whether you did, write to Support quickly. The longer you wait, the less there is to restore.

What does not delete your profile

Two things men blame that do not do it. Deleting the Bumble app from your phone does not delete your profile. Being inactive for a long period does not delete it either.

So if you took the app off your phone and reinstalled it, your profile should still be there when you log in. If it is not, the cause is one of the three above, not the uninstall.

Narrowing it down

Work through the causes from cheapest to costliest. First, Snooze: it takes ten seconds and you can fix it yourself. Second, think back to whether Bumble asked you for a photo check, and whether you finished it. Third, ask yourself honestly whether you deleted the account, even in a frustrated moment.

If none fits, treat it as a technical fault. Check your internet connection, update the app or reinstall it, force close it and reopen it, and log out and back in. Then contact Support with the details of your account.

Before you start over

Plenty of men react to a missing profile by building a new one. Do not rush that. Restoring the old account saves you the work of building the page again, and a new account starts from nothing.

If you do end up rebuilding, treat it as the chance to fix what the old page got wrong. Put your clearest photo first. Write a bio that says one specific thing about you. Answer the profile prompts in a way that gives a woman something to ask.

a dating coach tells men to test, adjust and test again instead of guessing, so change one thing at a time and see what it does. The same care applies to a break. If you must hide for a while, write to the women you want to keep first, because the ones you have not spoken to will expire while you are away.

If you would rather not rebuild it alone

A profile is easier to judge from outside than from inside. If you have a friend who will tell you the truth, ask which of your photos and answers he would change. If you would rather have the whole page rewritten, with photos, bio and prompts checked as one set, that can be done for you from what you already have. Either way, the goal is the same: a page that looks like you on a good day and makes it easy for her to say hello.
