The four types of game are day game, night game, online and social circle. Day game and night game both mean walking up to women you do not know, in daylight or after dark. Online means meeting through apps and social media. Social circle means meeting women through parties, events and people you already know. A man who wants to learn how to approach women should start with day and night, because those two build the skills the other two lean on.
Day game
Day game is approaching women on streets, in cafes, in shops and in parks while they go about their day. It suits a man who wants low-pressure practice, because the setting is quiet, sober and bright.
What it does well. Women in daylight are usually sober and alone, with no group to pull them away. You can have a full, calm conversation with her. You also reach women who never go out to bars and would never reply to a message from a stranger.
What it costs. Fewer women per hour than at night, because you are scanning for a woman who is walking alone and has a minute to spare. You also learn almost nothing about her before you speak, and she has a day to get on with. A busy pedestrian area helps a lot. A small town with empty streets does not.
The fix for the slow rate. Make it part of your normal day. When you walk to lunch or run an errand, leave ten minutes spare and say hello to someone on the way.
Night game
Night game is approaching women in bars, lounges and clubs, and on the street at night. It is the busiest of the four.
What it does well. A venue at night is full of women who expect to be talked to. You can speak to more women in a single evening than in a week of daytime. Because you get so many tries, you improve fast. Conversations also move quickly, so you learn within minutes whether a woman likes you.
What it costs. Noise, alcohol and friends. Most women are with a group, so you must win the group. Numbers get flakier because a woman who said yes on a loud night may not answer her phone the next afternoon. It also eats into your sleep and your wallet if you are careless.
The fix. Pick quiet, conversational venues instead of the loudest club in town, keep your drinking low and go out at the hour when the rooms are busiest.
Online
Online covers dating apps, social media and anywhere you meet women through a screen. It has two strong points. It reaches nearly every woman in your city, and you can use it from your sofa. If you live in a rural area or a place with no foot traffic, it may be your main source.
Its costs are on the other side. She chooses you from photos before she has met you, so how you look decides more than how you talk. Messages can take days to go anywhere. And you cannot read her in the room, so you waste a lot of time on women who never intended to meet.
Online here means apps and social media. It is not the same as online coaching, which is a coach working with you remotely. Cold Approach keeps the two apart, and the Bootcamp itself is in person only.
Social circle
Social circle is meeting women through your friends, parties, events and introductions. It is the most relaxed of the four, because everyone is in a friendly setting and women are more willing to give you the benefit of the doubt.
Its weakness is dependence. You wait for the next party or the next introduction, and in the meantime you are not meeting anyone. A man with no approach skills who relies on friends often ends up in the friend zone with the women he meets. It also takes years to build a group worth having.
The strongest men use it as a bonus, not a foundation. A man who can walk up to anyone and hold a conversation tends to build a strong social circle as a side effect.
Which one should you learn first?
If you want to get better with women quickly, start with the one that gives you the most real tries and the fastest feedback, which is approaching in person. Day game gives calm practice and night game gives volume. Together they train the skill all four types rely on: starting a conversation with a stranger and holding her interest.
A beginner who has only ever used apps usually finds that the first in-person approaches feel harder than any message. That discomfort is the reason to start there. It is the skill most men are missing.
How the Bootcamp covers it
A Cold Approach Bootcamp is in person only, in Miami and New York, and it covers day game and night game. Each training day is two four-hour blocks in the field, with the mix of day and night suited to you. Group runs three consecutive days with three students to one coach, and Private is fully 1-on-1 for one, two or three days.
You get live coaching on every approach and feedback after every set. Online and social circle then become easier to build, because you stop depending on either of them.
Questions men ask
Can I do all four at once?
You can, but you will improve fastest by choosing one main source for a few weeks. Spread across four, you only get four small samples.
Is day game or night game easier?
Day game is calmer. Night game is faster. Many beginners warm up in the day and then go out at night, and a coach can help you decide which one to weight first.
Do I need to be good looking for any of these?
Looks matter most online, where she judges a photo first. In person, how you speak, move and carry yourself decides far more.
