Video One: Start the Conversation
You don't need a perfect opener. You need a clear reason to speak to her.
If you're in a coffee shop and a woman is waiting for her drink, you can say:
“You look like you know what’s good here. What should I order?”
You can also say:
“That book looks interesting. Is it worth reading?”
Both lines give her something easy to answer. You aren't asking for her phone number before she knows who you are. You aren't forcing her to react to a big compliment. You are starting a short talk about something in front of both of you.
The first video should help you see the real job. Your job is not to impress her in the first five seconds. Your job is to open the door and see if she wants to talk.
That changes how you act.
You stop waiting for the perfect moment. You speak when you have a simple reason. You keep your voice clear. You look at her face. Then you listen to her answer.
A lot of men make the opener harder than it needs to be. They walk past her, turn around, and spend ten minutes building a speech in their head. By then, she has left the store or started talking to someone else.
Use what you can see.
If she has a dog, ask:
“How old is he?”
If she is wearing a shirt from a band you know, ask:
“Have you seen them live?”
If you are both waiting for a table, say:
“Have you been here before?”
You don't need to sound smooth. You need to sound like a man who is comfortable speaking to a woman he finds attractive.
The First Ten Seconds
Your body tells her a lot before your words do.
Walk up at a normal pace. Stand where she can see you. Keep your hands out of your pockets. Speak at a volume she can hear without leaning in. Then say your line and stop talking.
That last part matters.
Many men ask a question, then rush to explain why they asked it. They say:
“That book looks interesting. I mean, I haven't read it, but I like books too, and I was just wondering…”
Now she has to calm your nerves while answering a basic question.
Say the line once. Let the silence sit for a moment. Her answer gives you the next thing to talk about.
If she says she likes the book, ask what she likes about it. If she says she hasn't read it yet, smile and say:
“So you’re carrying it for decoration?”
Now there is a small joke and a new question. You didn't need to plan both before you walked over.
The aim is not to make her laugh every time. The aim is to stay present and respond to what she gives you.
If she gives short answers, looks away, or turns her body back to her phone, end the talk. Say:
“Enjoy your coffee.”
Then leave. You don't need to argue with her response. You also don't need to treat a short answer like a disaster. One woman being busy or uninterested tells you about that moment, not your value as a man.
Video Two: Keep the Talk Moving
Starting a conversation is only half the skill. The second video should show you how to build a real exchange after the opener.
The easiest way is to ask about her choices, then share a small piece of your own life.
She says:
“I’m visiting my sister.”
You can ask:
“What’s she like?”
After she answers, add something about yourself:
“My sister lives far away, so when I see her, we usually eat for three hours and complain about our family.”
Now you have done two things. You asked about her, and you gave her something to ask you about. The talk feels like a back-and-forth instead of an interview.
Avoid firing questions at her one after another:
“Where are you from? What do you do? Do you have siblings? What do you do for fun?”
That sounds like a form. She may answer each question, but she won't feel much connection.
Use her answer as a doorway.
If she says she likes hiking, ask:
“What’s the best place you’ve walked?”
If she says she works in design, ask:
“What do you make?”
Then tell her one related detail about yourself. Keep it short. You don't need to tell your whole life story beside the table.
Show Interest Without Chasing
Being interested does not mean praising every word she says or trying to keep her talking when she has stopped.
Make eye contact. Smile when something is funny. Ask a question because you want to know the answer, not because you are searching for any line that keeps her there.
You can say:
“You seem fun to talk to. I’d like to continue this another time.”
Then ask for her number.
If she gives it to you, keep the moment simple. If she says no, accept it without trying to change her mind.
A man who can handle a no is easier to trust than a man who needs every woman to like him. You are allowed to want her interest. You are not required to beg for it.
The first two lessons come down to this: speak when you have a reason, then pay attention to her answer. The words matter, but your ability to stay calm and take part in a real exchange matters more.
When you can do that, meeting a woman stops feeling like a speech you have to perform. It becomes a conversation.
