Section 01

Your actions follow the story in your head

A man who believes women won’t like him acts different before he says a word.

He sees a woman at the coffee shop. He looks at her, looks away, and checks his phone. He waits for a perfect opening. Five minutes later, she leaves.

He tells himself, “See? I never get a chance.”

But he did get a chance. He decided the answer would be no before he spoke.

Your belief changes what you do with each moment. If you believe you’re awkward, you speak in a low voice and rush your words. If she gives a short reply, you assume she wants you gone. You end the talk before she has time to relax.

If you believe you can handle a bad answer, you act in a calmer way. You look at her face. You speak at a normal speed. You stay in the talk long enough to learn if she’s interested.

The belief comes first. Your body follows it.

Section 02

Look at the proof you collect

Your mind keeps records that match the story you already believe.

A man walks up to three women. One woman says she has a boyfriend. One woman smiles but gives short answers. One woman stays and talks for five minutes.

If he believes women reject him, he remembers the first two women. He tells his friend, “Women never give me a chance.”

He leaves out the five-minute talk.

Another man has the same three talks. He believes rejection is part of dating. He sees the first answer as useful information. He sees the second talk as a sign to leave with respect. He sees the third talk as a good start.

The events are the same. The meaning is different.

You need to check the facts after each interaction. Write down three things:

  • What did I say?
  • What did she do?
  • What will I change next time?

Keep the answers plain.

“She smiled when I said hello. I asked where she got her bag. I spoke too fast after she answered.”

That gives you something you can fix. “I’m bad with women” gives you nothing.

Section 03

Change the belief with small acts

You won’t talk yourself into a new belief by sitting on your bed and repeating, “I’m confident.”

Your mind trusts what you do.

If you want to believe you can start talks, start more talks. Say hello to the woman at the bar. Ask the woman in line what she ordered. Give a simple comment about the book in her hand.

Your first goal isn’t a phone number. Your first goal is to prove that your feet can carry you over and your mouth can say the first line.

Use a clear line:

“Hey, I’ve seen you here a few times, and I wanted to meet you. I’m Mark.”

Then stop talking.

You don’t need a clever joke. You need to stand there and let her answer. If she gives you her name and asks you a question, keep talking. If she gives one-word answers and turns back to her drink, say, “Nice meeting you,” and leave.

Each small act gives your mind a new fact. You spoke. You handled the answer. You stayed calm enough to choose what to do next.

That is how a new belief takes shape.

Section 04

Don’t build your identity on one result

A woman’s answer tells you if she wants to talk with you at that moment. It doesn’t tell you what kind of man you are.

If she says no, don’t turn one answer into a life sentence.

Bad thought: “I got rejected, so I’m not attractive.”

Better thought: “She didn’t want to talk. I asked in a clear way and I left with respect.”

The second thought keeps you in control of your actions. It also keeps you from acting strange after a hard answer. You don’t argue. You don’t ask what’s wrong with you. You don’t send five texts to change her mind.

A man with a steady view of himself can accept a no without making the woman carry his hurt.

The same rule works after a good result. If a woman gives you her number, don’t decide that you’ve finally become worthy. You were worthy before she typed the number into her phone.

Your value can’t rise and fall with each woman’s mood.

Section 05

Act like the man you say you want to be

Pick one belief that would change your dating life.

Maybe it’s, “I can talk to women without trying to impress them.”

Now use that belief as a rule for your actions. Speak before you write a speech in your head. Ask questions because you’re curious, not because you need her approval. Leave when the talk has no life.

At first, your hands may sweat. Your voice may shake. You may say a line that comes out badly.

Do it anyway.

The man you want to become is built each time you act before fear gives you a reason to stay quiet.
