Your dating life changes when you make small, clear improvements and repeat them. You say hello to the woman at the coffee shop. You fix the photo where you’re wearing sunglasses indoors. You send a clear message instead of staring at your phone for twenty minutes.

Section 01

Start with the part you can see

Look at your last ten conversations with women. Read the actual words. Do not judge your whole dating life from one bad reply.

Check four things:

  • Did you start with something about her?
  • Did you ask questions that gave her room to answer?
  • Did you share anything about yourself?
  • Did you ask to meet before the messages became dull?

Here’s a simple example.

Weak:

Hey, how’s your day going?

Better:

You picked the tiny coffee shop on your profile. Is the coffee good, or do you just like the corner table?

The second message gives her something clear to answer. It also shows that you looked at her profile. You can use this same idea in person.

If she’s reading a book, ask:

Is it worth reading, or are you trying to look busy?

Say it with a small smile. Then listen to her answer. You don’t need five clever lines after that. You need to respond to what she says.

If your messages feel flat, fix one message at a time. Stop trying to become a new man in one night.

Section 02

Make one small change to your appearance

A woman decides what she sees before she hears your best story. Your clothes, hair, shoes, and photos do part of the talking.

Stand in front of a full-length mirror. Look at your shirt, pants, shoes, hair, and face. Ask what each part says.

A clean white shirt, dark jeans, and clean shoes will beat a wrinkled shirt, loose pants, and dirty shoes. You don’t need a closet full of expensive clothes. You need clothes that fit your body and look clean.

Take five photos near a window. Use a phone camera, not a photo where your face is hidden by a bathroom mirror. Wear one simple outfit. Stand outside, sit at a table, and smile in one photo.

Keep the photo where your face is easy to see. Remove the one where you’re holding a drink in front of your chest. Remove the one where three women stand beside you and the viewer has to guess which person you are.

Make one change. Then give yourself time to see how women respond.

Section 03

Talk to women before you feel ready

Your feet may stop near the woman you want to meet. Your palms may sweat. Your mouth may go dry. You may think of ten reasons to wait.

Move before your mind builds a case against you.

If you see a woman wearing a shirt from a band you know, say:

I saw that band live once. Are they still good?

If she’s looking at two cakes in a bakery, say:

Pick one for me. I don’t trust myself near that display.

Then let the exchange end if she gives short answers, keeps walking, or turns her body away. You don’t need to chase every conversation. You need to speak clearly and stay calm when the answer is no.

If she smiles, stops, and asks you a question, keep talking for a few minutes. Ask her name. Tell her yours. Then say:

I like talking with you. Let’s get coffee this week.

Give her your phone. Do not stand there and argue for her number. A clear invitation shows more confidence than a long speech about how much you like her.

Section 04

Stop trying to win every reply

Some women will answer with one word. Some will take a long time to reply. Some will agree to meet and then cancel. You cannot force a woman to want you.

You can control your side of the exchange.

If she sends:

Maybe. I’m busy.

Do not send five questions about her schedule. Say:

No problem. Send me a day that works for you.

If she never sends one, stop writing. Her lack of effort gives you the answer.

If she gives you a hard time, stay light. Suppose you tell her you cook and she says:

I bet you only make eggs.

You can say:

Eggs are a strong start. I’ll earn the rest after you try my pasta.

You don’t need to defend your cooking with a list of meals. You also don’t need to insult her. Answer once, then move on.

A woman should be able to tease you without watching you become angry. You should also be able to leave when she keeps being rude.

Section 05

Build standards you can follow

Write down the kind of dating life you want in plain words.

Maybe you want to meet women in person instead of spending every night on an app. Maybe you want a steady relationship. Maybe you want to go out more and stop spending Saturday night alone with your phone.

Turn the goal into actions you can count.

You might speak to two new women each time you go out. You might replace one bad profile photo. You might ask one woman to meet instead of sending messages for weeks.

Keep track of what you did. Do not keep track only of whether she said yes.

One of our students used to spend an hour choosing a first message. He changed one rule. He wrote the message, read it once, and sent it. He still got ignored sometimes. He also started having real conversations because he stopped treating each message like a final exam.

That is what a 1% change looks like. The change is small enough to repeat, and clear enough to measure.

Your life gets better when your actions change, even before your feelings catch up.
